Singing Program

at the Purple Tree Benefit Concert. April, 2019.

Team Davis offers the opportunity to sing together as a group. We hold weekly singing practices during the school year on Saturdays at True Connections, 405 L Street. We occasionally get the chance to perform — such as at our Annual Team Davis banquet or at Carlton Senior Living in Davis. Our singing teachers are Josh Jordan and Pam Cohen. See this video that describes our current singing program and showcases our group performing. There is also information about how Team Davis got started!

One of the most fun things we have done over the past several years is to participate in UC Davis’ Aggie Idol, sponsored by the student athletes on the UCD campus. Although we don’t compete in Aggie Idol ourselves, we have gotten to perform a song before the crowd. This helps us show our appreciation that the UCD student athletes choose Team Davis as the recipient of the funds raised by this fun event. The first year, 2011, we performed Born to be Wild and the second year we sang I Love Rock and Roll. In 2013 we sang Hey Jude by the Beatles. We didn’t perform in 2014. In 2015 we sang Hello, Goodbye by the Beatles. In 2016 we sang Centerfield by John Fogerty and in 2017 we sang Rockin’ Robin by Leon René.
